42nd GRAVESEND SHRIMP SHOOT

2nd February 2020

Once again Darenteford went to Gravesend Archers annual Shrimp Shoot in force and came away victorious... Unfortunately we did not manage to get photos of everybody and all the medals but there are a selection of photos below. Claire Rosser-Davies also organised a lovely meal afterwards at Caesars Italian restaurant in gravesend town centre and were joined by a couple of members of Swan Archers and even a member of Gravesend Archers. Here are the list of awards we came home with;

1st Place - Team Barebow - Adam brown, Charlotte Astridge & Sue Cowell - 1374 (221 points ahead of 2nd place)

Lady Paramount Prize - Gents - Paul Buckwell

We would also like to make a special note of Linturn Hopkins, Stuart Hickinbotham & Tom Joyce's performance... it was the 1st competition for both Linturn & Stuart and at the prize giving Gravesend Archers made a mistake and missed a team out so they were intially presented with the 3rd place team recurve medals and this was then taken away from them as they actually finished in 4th place, they put in a great performance and at least deserve a mention for that on here.
