CLUB WINTER FIXTURES - OCTOBER 2023 TO APRIL 2024 INDOOR SHOOTING Our indoor venue is at the Northfleet School for Girls, Gate B, Hall Road, Northfleet, DA11 8AQ Indoor shooting takes place on Thursdays; 6:30pm to 6:45pm arrival for sighters at 7:15pm. Rounds rotate on a weekly basis and include Portsmouth, WA18/Bray 1 and Worcester as shown in the fixtures programme. It may be possible to accommodate alternative or mixed rounds depending on overall demand and at the discretion of the Line Captain, eg to practice prior to a competition or 3-spot. However, this will not be allowed when Worcester or League rounds are scheduled. A Bray 1 League round will generally be shot on the first
Thursday of each month. Visitors are always welcome, but must have current AGB/GNAS membership. Fees: Members & Associates: seniors £4.00 and juniors £3.00, Visitors: £5.00. Please note - ALL archers are expected to help in setting out and putting away the equipment. Archers arriving after the stated assembly time will not be allowed to shoot, and there will be little opportunity for making up missed arrows.
OUTDOOR SHOOTING Our outdoor venue is at the Bluebell Barn Farm, Copt Hall Road, Cobham, DA13 9AU (what3words: spike.scared.zooms) . Please note: postcode gets you to the general location so look for the blue sign with a white sheep on it. Please note the local roads are quite narrow so ensure you are courteous to any locals you may come across and be aware that there may be horses on the roads around Cobham so drive carefully. Upon arrival at the farm, please try to drive and park as carefully as possible. The farm is also our hosts’ home so please keep that in mind, ensuring you are keeping an eye out for animals and closing gates behind you. Outdoor winter shooting takes place on Saturday mornings only. Arrival at 9:45am for sighters at 10:30am. Visitors are always welcome, but must have current AGB/GNAS
membership. Whilst every effort will be made for the field to be open at the published times, there may be occasions when no key holders turn up. A list of key holders is shown on the Contacts page, and their phone numbers are listed in the shed. No archer is allowed to shoot alone. There must be at least two archers present at all times who are Club members and any juniors must be supervised by an adult archer. Please note - ALL archers are expected to help in setting out and putting away the equipment. Archers arriving after the stated assembly time will not be allowed to shoot. There may be some weekends when we cannot shoot due to farm events. Please check the notice board regularly for any changes. |
